“the elements and seasons have always been of interest to me. simple yet complex, they exist around us and within us. great mystery and understanding is held within the phenomena of seasons. they provide continuous change and different lenses in which we see the world. we are affected by them inherently. the summer in particular plays a special role in our hearts. within the lens of tcm, the summer season is related to the fire element. it is a time for luxurious growth. expansion. a time to love everything outside of us. with pulses surging, exploration takes place.
this collection represents the wholeness of the work i’ve created. inspiration coming from nature - friends, and tcm. bridging between the fluidity of my personal life as it meshes into my studies in a medicine that gives me purpose. the grey area to me is the space between two extremes. the space that we most reside in, but seldom talk about. the space where contradictions exist in harmony.”
